LOCAL SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITY
The Hendricks County Retired Teachers Association annually awards a $1000 scholarship to a local county high school senior who will be majoring in education. Information and applications are available in January at each high school guidance office and at the link at the bottom of the page. 2019 SCHOLARSHIP WINNER IS CASSANDRA CHANDLER. IRTA SCHOLARSHIP LINK FOR COLLEGE STUDENTS
Scholarships are also available for relatives or friends of members of Indiana Retired Teachers Association who are majoring in Education. IRTA ACTIVE TEACHER GRANT: North Salem music teacher David Snoddy received an IRTA Active Teacher Grant of $500 to support his music program. If you know someone who is still teaching who might want to apply for one of these, check the IRTA website. Application deadline is the end of September each year; 6 are awarded statewide.
