LOCAL SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITY
The Hendricks County Retired Teachers Association annually awards a $1000 scholarship to a local county high school senior who will be majoring in education. Information and applications are available in January at each high school guidance office and at the link at the bottom of the page. This year's scholarship was awarded to Jadah Coursey who will attend Purdue University and plans to major in Elementary Education. |

IRTA SCHOLARSHIP LINK FOR COLLEGE STUDENTSScholarships are also available for relatives or friends of members of Indiana Retired Teachers Association who are majoring in Education. One scholarship is awarded from each district for a total of ten awarded sinformation and an application.

IRTA ACTIVE TEACHER GRANT: North Salem music teacher David Snoddy received an IRTA Active Teacher Grant of $500 to support his music program. If you know someone who is still teaching who might want to apply for one of these, check the IRTA website. Application deadline is the end of September each year; 6 are awarded statewide.
